About the Role We are looking for a detail-driven Financial Controller to oversee the day-to-day financial accuracy of a multi-concept hospitality group. This is a hands-on, operationally connected finance role with room to grow into a Director of Finance as the company scales. You will partner directly with operators and the CEO across several venues to ensure our financial reporting is accurate. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Accuracy Own weekly and monthly financial reporting across all venues. Prepare, review, and distribute weekly Flash reports, P&L statements, variance analyses, and cash flow insights. Ensure accuracy in all financial data inputs coming from operations, accounting, and POS systems. Operational Finance Partnership Act as the day-to-day finance partner for General Managers, Chefs, and Directors of Operations. Provide real-time guidance on labor, COGS, purchasing, and controllables. Ensure operators understand their numbers and are accountable to them. Serve as a liaison between operations and corporate accounting. Daily Auditing & POS Integrity Audit comps, voids, discounts, promos, and check edits daily. Ensure all sales are properly routed to the correct categories across all brands. Identify irregularities, investigate discrepancies, and communicate findings to operators for correction. Strengthen controls around POS workflows and guest check management. Inventory & COGS Structure Oversee the full inventory process across multiple brands. Implement stronger structure, consistency, and discipline around inventories. Validate COGS accuracy, investigate gaps, and drive corrective actions. Support teams in improving ordering, waste management, and cost controls. P&L Oversight Lead monthly P&L reviews with operators and leadership. Identify trends, variances, and actionable opportunities. Create clear, digestible reporting for both finance and non-finance stakeholders. Systems & Process Improvements Work closely with POS, accounting, and reporting systems (Toast, SevenRooms, QuickBooks, etc.). Strengthen financial processes, tighten controls, and eliminate inefficiencies. Support implementation of new financial tools and procedures as the group grows. Qualifications 4–8+ years of financial management or controller experience (hospitality preferred). Strong understanding of restaurant or hotel P&Ls, inventory systems, and cost control. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and relentless about accuracy and follow-through. Comfortable working closely with operators in a fast-paced, multi-unit environment. Strong communication skills and ability to drive accountability with non-finance teams. Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets and financial reporting tools. Ability to manage multiple concepts, deadlines, and priorities without dropping the ball.
